Backstory: Andoru grew up on in a small mining village far from any of the protection of the cities. He was the son of a renowned swordsmith. His village was attacked by bandits every now and again, but the villagers always found a way to drive them out or away. Until one day a powerful Oni warchief invaded the village. He enslaved the entire village to work in mines, and forced his father to forge weapons for his warband, using the powerful flames of a captured phoenix the Oni had captured as well with powerful magic, but all was not lost, while Andoru slept he was visited by the great phoenix Suzaku, who told him of a way to free the villagers, his father, and the phoenix enslaved by the Oni Warlord. Suzaku left him with an ancient text know as the Swordsman Scrolls, which Andoru studied every night, until one night his father came to him carrying a Katana, wrapped in his own tattered clothes. His father told him that the phoenix and he had created it for him to use in freeing the villagers and killing the Oni Warlord. these were to be his father's dying words and his final gift to him as well. Andoru took the sword and with it freed the villagers from the Oni, but the Oni issued a warning to him with his dying breath. That he was not the worst to come, and that his master would avenge his death. Andoru took these words to heart and he now travels seeking the one responsible for his father's death.
